We connect companies from Slovenia, Croatia, Serbia, Macedonia, and Bosnia and Herzegovina, to promote cooperation in business and mutual help, because we are convinced that together we can do so much more.

Charlie Lawson is the National Director of BNI in the UK & Ireland. BNI helps small businesses to increase their turnover through business networking – last year alone, BNI members in this country generated well over £500m business for each other.
Despite running an organisation which relies on networking, Charlie is a very Unnatural Networker, and has recently published his first book of the same name. Most networking experts talk about networking as though it is the easiest thing in the world to go up to people and talk to them. Charlie aims to help other Unnatural Networkers gain confidence to network effectively by putting it across from the point of view of someone who’d rather not be doing it at all. In any spare time he does have, Charlie will mainly be found running around after his 8 year old son, Alfie, and 4 year old daughter, Maggie Mae, as well as hoping that Spurs finish above Arsenal in the league.
Dr. Aleksander Šinigoj is a Neuro Linguistic Programming trainer and coach, as well as a lecturer and expert on personal and business growth. He studied at the University of Salford and at the London School of Economics, and obtained his PhD degree at the University in Ljubljana. Dr. Šinigoj was selected to join the group of assistants of Dr. Richard Bandler, the co-founder of NLP, and for three years, was a frequent crew member at events with Tony Robbins – one of the world's most renowned motivators. He has studied with many internationally famous coaches and entrepreneurs, such as Sir Richard Branson, Brian Tracy, Robert G Allen, Bob Proctor, and T. Harv Eker. He has helped a great many Slovenian and foreign business owners, physicians, athletes, psychologists, and students, to achieve better results. To date, he has lectured in 19 countries and on 4 continents, and is the author of numerous audio programs and books on innovative methods for bringing about positive change and helping individuals to achieve their goals. He believes that every individual has a wealth of potential and the ability to grow and develop.
Mag. Marjeta Novak is a certified trainer in the globally accepted method of connective (nonviolent) communication, and a certified moderator of generative participatory leadership – in the multi-participatory approach of strategic planning, optimising of products and services, and conflict resolution. Her work centres on creating a nurturing dialogue with oneself, with others, and with the systems we are embedded in. Mag. Novak works in Slovenia and abroad. Mag. Kaja Kosec has obtained two Masters degrees, one in Theology and the other in Religious Studies, and has a profound knowledge of business ethics and morally coherent business practices. For over a decade she has been studying the character and behaviour of human beings, with a particular focus on that encountered in the business environment. She is the founder of the Za dialog Institute, which trains senior staff members and human resources managers in ethical leadership and business dialogue, and also educates individuals and groups about identity, mission, values, responsible decision-making, and healthy relationships.
Dario Mišković is a graduate of the Faculty of Kinesiology in Zagreb. During his studies he became a demonstrator in four academic departments: gymnastics, acrobatics, skiing and surface water sports. In 2010, he obtained a licence to teach yoga from the Medical Yoga Centre; in 2014 he became an RYT 200 international yoga teacher (the Yoga Alliance); and in 2015 he became Executive Director of the Medical Yoga Centre, in which capacity he is active in granting licences to yoga teachers. He currently teaches yoga at four companies and conducts one-to-one yoga tuition with numerous students. He specialises in yoga teaching methodologies and yoga for offices. He is a member of the management board of the Croatian Yoga Federation and has founded a yoga school that focuses on teaching adults.
Edvard Kadič is an expert in communication and personal development. As a specialist in nonverbal communication, especially body language, he advises individuals and companies in leadership, sales, and the development of ‘soft’ skills when working with others. His clients in Slovenia and abroad include small and large companies, ministries, public institutions, and even the National Assembly of the Republic of Slovenia. He directs the Delta Life Coaching Academy, is a frequent commentator on nonverbal communication in the mainstream media, and is the author of seven books, including the bestsellers Govorica telesa in osebna karizma (Eng. Body Language and Personal Charisma) and Zapeljevanje, priročnik za moške (Eng. Seduction, A Guidebook for Men). His seventh book Samozavest je seksi (Eng. Self-esteem is the New Sexy), that was published in November 2017 and deals with self-confident body language, became a Slovenian best-seller just weeks after its release.
Jasna Knez is a licenced and certified business and team coach, and a communication, leadership skills and team development trainer. She is an expert in Jungian Coaching and Expressive Arts Coaching techniques. She is also a Jungian Coaching trainer, mentor and supervisor. Jasna uses a variety of different approaches, modalities, techniques, and training methods when working with clients, to build on their unique character and way of thinking. Her passion is to explore others deeply, and this she does with an open heart, believing there is potential and excellence in every human being – and that it is her mission to find and develop it.
Meta Grošelj is an author, blogger, motivational speaker, researcher and business woman. But she is also a mother, a wife, and – last but not least – a very curious and ambitious woman. She is a specialist in time management, and an expert in public speaking – with an emphasis on overcoming the fear associated with this. She has always been particularly interested in identity and the psychology behind this. At the beginning of her career, Meta worked as an independent marketing expert. During that time, she co-operated with numerous Slovenian and foreign corporations to help them optimally position their brands in domestic and foreign markets. Today, her focus is on excellence and helping individuals, in her capacity as trainer and coach, to feel success within and find their own inner voice of power. It is Meta’s curiosity that pushes her forward, and this is the force behind her acquiring of nine certificates in the past three years! She is an internationally trained INLPTA NLP Coach-Practitioner, an Accredited Executive Coach in public speaking, and a trainer in the SDI method of motivation and positive communication. Learning and acquiring new knowledge – that she can then pass on to others – is a constant in her life. Meta believes in lifelong growth and development – and that if you really want change to happen, and if your motivations are genuine, then you can achieve anything, anytime!
Filip Pesek is a web sensation in Slovenia. With his advanced marketing techniques, he has created one of the most recognised personal brands around, in just one year. He has appeared on various media outlets, including Slovenia's national public broadcasting station RTV Slovenija, and in Reporter magazine, the Slovenske novice daily newspaper, and many others.

Uroš Kavs comes from a family business background. In the family company, his father worked as the CEO, his mother as the accountant, and his younger brother as a computer scientist and mechanical engineering technologist. Later, his brother took over the business and is today successfully managing the company. Uroš studied Economics with a focus on family business transfer to the next generation. His focus is on relationships within family businesses, because conflict and day-to-day issues are things he has personally encountered in his family company.
A sociologist at heart, and someone with a keen interest in entrepreneurship, he was led, both by circumstances and his own volition, to the decision to leave the family business to his brother and start a consultancy firm. He founded the MoSt Institute (Eng. the Bridge Institute), because the bridge represents successful transfer – in this case, of a business and all related responsibilities from one generation to the next. To raise awareness on this topic, he has written the book Kako družinskemu podjetju zagotoviti uspešno prihodnost (Eng. How to Ensure a Successful Future for the Family Business), in which he describes positive as well as negative stories of companies which have gone through such a transition. Uroš works as a family, business and financial mediator, helping families to reach fair agreements, and friends working within multi-person companies to both maintain genuine relationships and keep the company afloat in the long term.
Gaber Marolt is a business trainer, mentor, coach and advisor. He has a wealth of experience of the business and corporate world. Gaber is a Neuro Linguistic Programming trainer certified by INLPTA, and SNLP as a coach. He holds a BA in Economics and an Executive MBA from the Cotrugli Business School. Hi is a member of the BNI Vitis chapter. Gaber has over twenty years’ experience in managing creative teams, and was, together with his colleagues, awarded Slovenia's most prestigious media and popular culture award – the Viktor – and the Bronze Crest of the Municipality of Celje for his work in the field of audio-visual arts.
He uses an interdisciplinary approach in his work, and has vast personal and business experience in areas including business management, finance and taxation, personal finance, accounting, sales, IT, procurement, work process optimisation, and regulation. As a manager of various departments and companies, his experience includes human resources, team-building and internal communications.
He describes himself as a catalyst of business ideas, a facilitator, and an effective leader and team member. Over the past few years, he has gained additional know-how regarding communications and change management in companies undergoing restructuring processes. He is a specialist in sales – an area in which, for over 15 years, he generated excellent results.
Lorella Flego is an editor, event moderator, and psychology graduate. For many years now she has been involved in fashion, both in Slovenia and abroad. A few years ago, she established the www.glitter.si portal, which has had over 150,000 visitors so far and which has therefore become one of the biggest platforms for fashion and lifestyle in Slovenia. She is fond of traveling, and says that foreign countries are the inspiration for her creations. She has lived in Africa and Italy, so is familiar with various foreign cultures, and loves to explore the world. She lives by the motto Carpe Diem – seize the day.
Uroš Požgan is a young and ambitious entrepreneur. Together with his team, he has been working on the success story of Pokica, in a very short time turning his love for popcorn into a very profitable business project. With his girlfriend, her sister and her sister’s boyfriend he embarked on a search for a genuinely non-GMO corn and just the right popping technique. He and his team have also had to find seed capital, and start work on a marketing and sales campaign. They really threw themselves into this project, and in just five months they had managed to present the salty and sweet gourmet popcorn for the first time on the Štartaj, Slovenija! TV-show. This greatly broadened their horizons and made it possible for all Slovenia to start enjoying the new favourite snack.
Boštjan Pilej je že med študijem je izdeloval bonitetna poročila slovenskih in hrvaških podjetij ter organiziral in vodil skupino analitikov v slovenski podružnici največje bonitetne hiše na svetu, Dun & Bradstreet. Po diplomi na Ekonomski Fakulteti je ustanovil podjetje, ki se je ukvarjalo s fotografskimi storitvami, maloprodajo in veleprodajo fotografske opreme. Sodeloval je pri razvoju spletne aplikacije, ki je »poganjala« Fotodiskont, eno izmed prvih specializiranih fotografskih spletnih trgovin pri nas, in jo uspešno vodil do leta 2008. Kot skrbnik ključnih kupcev na tujih trgih se je zaposlil v medijski hiši Pro Plus, d.o.o., kjer je sodeloval pri izvajanju strategije spletnih vsebin, pomagal pri optimizaciji spletnih strani za iskalnike, skrbel za različne projekte in vodil oddelek za promocijo blagovnih znamk na družabnih omrežjih. Od leta 2013 skrbi za prodajno mrežo prehranskih dopolnil in kozmetike podjetja Synergy WorldWide. To podjetje tudi predstavlja v najstarejši slovenski BNI skupini Emonika, katere član je od leta 2015. Prejel je že dve nagradi za mrežnika leta, opravlja pa še vlogo ambasadorja v trenutno največji BNI skupini Ilirija.

She has extensive leadership experience in Slovenian and international companies, which she has acquired during 12 years of cooperation with more than 160 companies in the broader field of human resource management and management. Alenka gives support and encouragement to changes in companies to achieve corporate harmony at both team and individual levels. From the findings in individual coaching and based on its experience, a successful workshop "Time Management THIS DAY" was developed. She has been a member of BNI since May 2010 and she is well-known for her correctness, her pro-activity and her self-determination. Anyone who knows her, he knows that she does what she says. Her family means a lot to her, so she spends a lot of time with her children.
As a mechanical engineer, Andrej proved that changes are possible and necessary. Every progress begins with changes. After many years of experience as a salesman and consultant, he started his own company as a consultant and trainer. People, their thoughts, personalities have always interested him. He upgraded his life experience with knowledge from psychology. He combines analytical skills as a technician, experience in sales and leadership practice and latest knowledge from positive psychology, NLP, TA. He believes that everyone has to develop his body and soul at the same time. More than 10 years he practices Tai-chi, karate, aikido and meditation. He helped over 50 companies to grow their sales and improve working motivation of employees.
(Slovenščina) Goran Novković je po izobrazbi novinar, ki je svoje prve izkušnje nabiral kot novinar v uredništvu časnika Finance. Kasneje je bil namestnik odgovorne urednice tednika Gospodarski vestnik, operativno pa je vodil tudi projekt projekt Zlata gazela. Leta 2004 je postal namestnik odgovornega urednika časnika Finance, tri leta kasneje pa odgovorni urednik dnevnika Žurnal24 in tednika Žurnal. Dve leti je bil predsednik uprave družbe Žurnal media, naslednji izziv pa mu je predstavljala vloga svetovalca generalnega direktorja in direktorja centra za lobiranje na Gospodarski zbornici Slovenije. Od 11. januarja 2018 je Goran Novković izvršni direktor SBC - Kluba slovenskih podjetnikov.
(Slovenščina) Martin Jezeršek je dokončal študij na Višji šoli za gostinstvo in turizem in kasneje nadaljeval izobraževanje na eni najboljših in najstarejših hotelirskih šol na svetu Ecole Hoteliere de Lausanne v Švici. Izkušnje je tako nabiral doma kot tudi v tujini; delal je v Londonu, v podjetju za organizacijo mednarodnih poslovnih dogodkov in projektno delo v Sloveniji in tujini. Pri 25. letih in ob dejstvu, da je najmlajši od štirih sinov v družini, je Martin Jezeršek leta 2012 sedel na direktorski stol družinskega podjetja z najdaljšo tradicijo cateringa v Sloveniji. Podjetje Jezeršek gostinstvo pod znamko Jezeršek in SORA Catering deluje v Sloveniji, Italiji in na Hrvaškem.

Zgodba uspešnega družinskega podjetja se nadaljuje in piše nova poglavja o izzivih digitalne transformacije sodobnih podjetij in prehodu na mobilno poslovanje. This is my story about my Dad, and my inspiration to run the London Marathon in his memory. As is
the case for many of us, my Dad was my hero, and when I lost him, I knew I wanted to do something
to honour him.
I couldn’t just run the marathon though – my Dad was an extraordinarily high achiever in his lifetime,
so I had to set the bar high. So, I set myself some ambitious goals, both in terms of the time I wanted
to run the marathon in, and the amount of money I wanted to raise for the Cystic Fibrosis Trust.
You’ll have to listen to the talk to see how I got on – but after the event, I realised there were 9 key
things that I did to ensure I achieved my goals. This talk looks in detail at each of those 9 key points,
all the while telling my story of my experience running the London Marathon.

Today, the majority of entrepreneurs and managers use only two dimensions of communication. They know what they want, and also, what needs to be done for them to achieve this. However, if they were able to use all four dimensions of effective communication, they could significantly improve their powers of persuasion and be able to reach people more authentically and directly. At the same time, they would be expressing themselves more clearly, so that others understood them better.
How can we use integrative communication even in intense situations? How do we nurture relationships with clients and suppliers which are based on partnership and cooperation, even within hierarchical organisations? How can we co-create solutions that take into consideration the well-being of all? Integrative communication, a system developed by Dr. Marshall Rosenberg, encompasses both guidelines on how to think and tools on how to live, communicate, and make decisions from a position of authenticity, connectedness and creativity. This interactive presentation is designed to give you a little taste of this globally accepted approach.
What do Alexander the Great and modern entrepreneurs and managers have in common? Just as warfare was considered an art in the past, the management and administration of companies are an art today. The key to success lies with the leader, and his/her leadership skills. However, simply possessing technical skills doesn’t make a leader a commander. Far too often we equate leading with leadership, but the latter means having competencies that include delegating, time management, constructive and efficient problem-solving, the design and executing of strategies, effective decision-making, the ability to foster potential, communicative skill, and diplomacy. Expert knowledge is important, but being a commander demands so much more. Just as a soldier can’t become a general simply by winning a battle. So, what is it that transforms a leader into a commander?
We spend most of our day sitting in front of a computer screen. Considering that 90 per cent of the time we don’t sit correctly, sitting for long hours can have seriously negative effects on our body. This lecture will present useful information on how to sit correctly in the workplace as well as exercises you can do behind the desk to keep your body fit and healthy.
How can we understand the drivers behind human behaviour and how can we adapt our communication to make it effective, and oriented towards “building” real relationships? When it comes to relationships, it is important that we are congruent – this means, being in line with ourselves. It means having clarity about our own functioning – who we are and what message our “persona” communicates. Only through knowing ourselves and our patterns of functioning can we truly build on our strengths, develop an authentic style, and find a consistent path for developing and growing business relationships. To hear, to see, and to understand.
We’re living in a time in which all things digital are trendy. And marketing is no exception. More and more companies are focusing on digital marketing and forgetting about traditional marketing. During this lecture, you won’t be hearing about the pros and cons of one or the other. You will be hearing, rather, about the importance of finding balance and creating synergy between the two fields in order to be successful in communication.

During this workshop, you will get advice on how to sell when you are recommended by your colleagues and are obliged to fulfil certain expectations. You will find out how to increase the chances of selling your products or services at the price you want.

Networking is vital for all business owners, but the brief time you have networking with a new contact or delivering a 60 second presentation makes it difficult to get your message across effectively. Building a clear networking message is vital. People need to not only listen to it, but also take it in, and most importantly, act upon it. This talk will help you build your networking message and will reveal the two crucial elements that need to be included. Distractions erode the ability to stay focused and focus is essential for carrying out a task within a given timeframe – what is meant here is within eight hours. With constant interruptions, you systematically lose concentration, over and over again, until it almost seems that you are doing the work of three people. Something needs to be done! Do we need to change the organisation’s entire method of doing business? Or should we start with the individual and change the way he/she reacts to distractions?
One of the main values of BNI is connecting with other entrepreneurs. In this lecture, I will show you how to upgrade everything online and use it to connect and grow your business.
This lecture will highlight the concept of self-esteem, define it in a useful and practical manner, and link it with non-verbal communication. Focus will be put on our body language and voice, especially with a view to creating a good first impression, being self-confident in public, and communicating well with ill-disposed clients.
The key challenge in growing a business is how to finance and build a successful team. Most entrepreneurs get nervous when it comes to employing their first co-worker. This lecture will give you answers to the following questions: What is the right employee profile to look out for, so that co-workers contribute to company growth and generate benefits rather than problems? How do you become a successful leader, who can delegate most tasks? How do you foster appropriate communications and train up a successor?
